Stress / Lifing Engineer (m/f/d)
Responsibilities
- Conduct strength, durability, and integrity assessments for rotating critical components
- Apply thermo-mechanical finite element methods (FEM) to perform detailed stress analyses
- Define and oversee engine and component testing to validate service life and structural integrity
- Provide support in fleet management of critical parts and lead in-service investigations
- Prepare comprehensive certification and qualification documentation
- Assess and evaluate component deviations to ensure compliance and reliability
- Contribute to the development and implementation of advanced stress and lifing methodologies
- Support ongoing Research and Technology initiatives to drive innovation and product improvement
Profile
- Preferably a Master’s degree in Engineering, or a Bachelor’s degree combined with relevant experience
- Proven expertise in FEM analysis with strong ability to interpret and evaluate results
- Solid knowledge of mechanics, including stress and fatigue analysis
- Basic understanding of component life assessment and declaration methods (advantageous but not mandatory)
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple disciplines and communicate effectively
- Well-organized approach to work: capable of planning, identifying risks, committing to deliverables, and tracking progress, including management of external work packages
