Responsibilities

  • Responsible to develop, adapt/familiarize, qualify or validate, and transfer (i.e. analytical method lifecycle) high quality and state-of-the-art analytical methods as per project requirements utilizing adequately qualified instruments and substances
  • Responsible to perform all assigned analytical experiments in the lab according to GMP, HSE regulations and risk assessments as required and appropriate for the project development stage, involving (synthesis and analytical) development, supportive, release and stability samples 
  •  Accountable to support the project responsible Analytical Expert (AE) by collecting and aggregating analytical data; or, to support supply activities by performing tasks related to process steering controls, cleaning verification/validation, release/retest/stability and additional testing (NOS, HA request, RAN, supportive data) or method qualification/validation of starting/raw materials, intermediates or drug substance.
  • Responsible to thoroughly document experimental work in appropriate form using available tools such as CIRF, eLN, etc. as appropriate and following good documentation practices (GDP)
  • Responsibility to fulfill all tasks according to CHAD GMP Responsibility List and/or general responsibility list and exchange all relevant information with responsible synthesis technician / chemist
  • Responsible to fulfill all assigned tasks as laboratory and instrument responsible person to ensure maintenance, usability and GMP status (if required). With increasing job expertise, further responsibility in instrument and IT system ownership and qualification
  • Responsible to ensure and contribute a collaborative and target oriented work environment with DS subteams in line with NVS Values and Behaviors, e.g. collabaration with DS Project Leader, CHAD and ARD analytics, LSC team, etc.
  • Responsible to proactively communicate key issues and critical topics in a timely manner to the appropriate management level and/or to any other relevant project team member(s)

Profile

  • Language: German (oral) & English (oral, written)
  • Education: apprenticeship or MSc (chemistry or equivalent) with experience
  • Technical skills: HPLC-UV (incl. method development), HS/direct-GC (incl. method development), Titration & Karl-Fischer (routine), HPLC-MS (routine), qNMR (optional)
  • Software skills: CDS (ideally Chromeleon), MS Office, electronic lab notebook 
  • Soft skills: strong ownership of tasks, willingness to learn and collaborate within analytical and several project teams
  • Previous experience: analytical lab technician in pharma, chemical or food industry
  • We are looking for an experienced analyst for the non-GMP team, however, GMP experience would be a significant plus
