Data Engineer (m/f/d)
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines for processing production and test data
- Analyze, validate, and ensure the quality of product and process data to meet technical specifications
- Process large volumes of data generated from industrial production environments and testing systemsIntegrate, transform, and prepare structured and unstructured data sources for analysis and downstream applications
- Develop and optimize ETL processes for automated data processing and integration
- Implement Data Engineering and Data Science solutions across the entire data lifecycle
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and cross-functional teams to identify data-driven optimization opportunities
- Develop Python-based applications, tools, and scripts for data analysis, automation, and process improvement
- Ensure software quality through version control, documentation, and adherence to software development best practices
- Support the further development and optimization of the existing data architecture and big data environment Utilize and enhance workflow orchestration and data pipeline solutions (e.g., Apache Airflow, Apache NiFi)
- Analyze complex datasets from machines, manufacturing systems, and test equipment to generate actionable and reliable insights
Profile
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a comparable technical discipline
- Several years of hands-on experience in Data Engineering, Data Science, or Software Development
- Strong Python programming skills with a focus on data processing, automation, and data pipeline development
- Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining ETL processes and data integration solutions
- Proficient in Git and modern software version control systems
- Experience working with large-scale datasets and complex data environments
- Professional experience in an industrial setting, ideally within manufacturing, mechanical engineering, or electrical engineering
- Fluent English skills, both written and spoken; German language skills would be considered a strong advantage
