Opgaver
As Payroll Specialist, you will take full ownership of Danish payroll delivery while contributing to group-level initiatives and process improvements. The role combines hands-on payroll responsibility with stakeholder management and transformation work, making it ideal for someone who thrives in complex and evolving organizations.
You will be part of an international payroll team with close collaboration across countries. The role reports directly to the CFO, a results-driven and decisive leader who values transparency, accountability, and proactive communication.

Key responsibilities include:
- End-to-end responsibility for Danish payroll for +200 employees, including HQ and warehouse staff
- Full accountability for payroll accuracy, compliance and timely delivery
- Validation and approval of final payroll calculations through an external provider for other entities (SE, DE, FR, NO)
- Ensure accurate handling of contracts, new hires, salary components, bonuses, pensions and amendments
- Act as the primary contact for the external payroll vendor and internal stakeholders
- Handle employee payroll inquiries and actively work to reduce recurring questions through improved structure, documentation and processes
- Participate in group payroll projects, audits and compliance-related activities
- Drive process optimisation and automation initiatives (reducing manual work and increasing efficiency)
- Support harmonization of group policies (bonus structures, salary elements, onboarding guidelines)
- Contribute payroll input to ESG reporting, investment-related documentation and due diligence processes
- Identify opportunities for process optimization, governance improvement and cost efficiency
Profil
You bring a strong operational payroll background combined with the ability to work independently, take accountability and collaborate across borders.
Your background includes:
• Solid experience within payroll operations, preferably in an international or group environment
• Strong hands-on knowledge of Danish payroll• Experience working with external payroll providers
• Exposure to transformation, change management or system transitions
• Confident communicator with stakeholders at all levels
• Preferable knowledge of HK collective agreement
• Preferably experience using Danløn
• Fluent in English and Danish, written and spoken
Personal traits:
• Structured, detail-oriented and highly accountable
• Pragmatic, resilient and comfortable with ambiguity
• Proactive mindset – you come with solutions, not just problems
• Able to balance operational delivery with improvement initiatives
• Comfortable working across cultures and in a fast-paced environment
