Accounting und Tax Specialist (m/f/d)
Responsibilities
- Consulting to ensure accurate and timely financial accounting, including professional assessment of existing accounting processes and identification of optimization opportunities
- Advising on the development and documentation of accounting processes and internal control systems to strengthen governance and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Providing guidance on compliance with IFRS, German GAAP (HGB), and German tax regulations, including analysis of existing policies and derivation of necessary adjustments
- Managing and coordinating internal and external audit processes
- Advising and communicating with German authorities in the context of tax audits, financial audits, and reporting requirements
- Preparation of monthly and annual financial statements
- Analysis and review of intercompany accounts, inventory balances, revenue recognition, and cost of goods sold (COGS)
- Advising on the preparation of tax-related filings and payments, including assessment of tax risks and compliance requirements
- Reviewing supplier and service provider invoices and advising on ensuring complete and audit-proof documentation within the ERP systems (SAP B1 and Odoo)
- Analyzing financial data and preparing professional management reports
Profile
- Extensive experience in core accounting and tax reporting
- Strong expertise in preparing monthly and annual financial statements under IFRS and German GAAP
- In-depth knowledge of SAP B1, Odoo would be nice to have
- Independent, structured, and solution-oriented working style
- Advanced MS Excel Skills
- Strong analytical thinking
- Excellent communication skills, empathy, and ability to work effectively in a team
