International Welding Engineer (m/f/d)
Responsibilities
- Perform inspections of suppliers, contractors, and contracted manufacturers (both internal and external)
- Control the quality of complex parts (e.g. large stainless steel columns) and externally manufactured components
- Implement product and process quality requirements in measurement and inspection tasks of welded equipment (VT1-2), including intermediate inspections and FAT
- Support complaint handling, troubleshooting, rework, and improvement measures
- Assist the workshop with skid mounting inspections
Profile
- Technical education as a Mechanical Engineer in the metal industry, tank construction, and/or stainless steel
- Experience in quality inspection, ideally as a specialist (including visual and dimensional inspection, dye penetration testing, mix-up inspection (PMI), etc.)
- Solid welding expertise
- Completed qualification in visual testing (VT1 and VT2)
- Familiarity with relevant standards such as DIN EN ISO 9606 and PED 2014/68/EU
- Project management experience
- Willingness to travel (>60%)
- Confident and professional interaction with suppliers
- Fluent English skills – mandatory, German language skills – nice to have
