SAP BTP Solution Architect (m/f/d)
Responsibilities
- Solution Design: Work closely with internal clients to understand their business needs and translate them into effective SAP BTP solutions within the Clean core level concept and the SAP BTP Guidance Framework
- Technical Expertise: Proficiency required in architecting SAP CAP side-by-side extensions (node.js) on SAP BTP to enable internal clients implement clean-core methodology
- Overall architectural understanding required of SAP BTP services, including SAP Build Process Automation and Advanced Event Mesh
- Integration: Seamlessly integrate SAP BTP with SAP S/4HANA, ensuring end-to-end processes and data flow via APIs or Events - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate SAP BTP with other systems and applications
- Security and Compliance: Ensure security, compliance, and optimal performance of the SAP BTP environments are well thought through and addressed for the specific client contexts
- Collaboration: Work closely with internal stakeholders, including Enterprise Architecture and SAP Solution Architects, to execute SAP BTP strategies
- Operational Excellence: Build strong relationships with internal clients, providing expert guidance and ensuring successful project outcomes - Oversee run activities related to the BTP Platform and Stay updated on industry trends and best practices related to SAP BTP
- Project Delivery: Lead or participate in full project lifecycles, from requirements clarification to deployment
Profile
- Experience with implementing solutions on SAP BTP (Business Technology Platform) with focus on SAP CAP side-by-side extensions (node.js) on SAP BTP including SAP Build Process Automation and Advanced Event Mesh
- Understanding of architectural considerations for SAP (cloud, on-premises) including SAP clean core methodology
- Experience with SAP BTP security and authorization
- Ability to design new architectural frameworks and influence their execution
- Good knowledge of SAP S/4HANA architecture and functionality including ABAP
- Interest in arising technologies such as AI (e.g. SAP Joule, Agentic Frameworks)
- Professional proficiency in English (German optional)
- Self-driven with a can-do attitude, with an excellent communication and client-facing skills
- Problem-solving mindset and ability to work in a collaborative environment
- Strong relationship builder within the organization and with external partners
